We are hugely proud of our Camogie section at Westport GAA. The underage section has a proud tradition of producing players that go on to represent the club at senior level, with clear pathways in place to County honours.
Our objective is that every player that joins the club will receive a warm welcome and begin a long and enjoyable Camogie experience.
We train and play at Westport GAA Club, Newport Road, Deerpark East, Westport, Co. Mayo.
We are a thriving and progressive sports club for girls in Westport. We currently have over 170 members from our under 8’s right up to our adult Junior team.We are keen to speak with businesses and / or individuals who may be in a position to support our teams.
The club has ongoing costs each year including:
Each year the club enters many teams into competitions outside of the county in order to encourage the girls to advance their skills and give them game opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have access to.
We can offer sponsorship opportunities whereby your brand will be prominently displayed and endeavour to achieve local social media, press and radio coverage.
Our 174 girls are part of a wider community. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends all support these wonderful young ladies and would inevitably be much more supportive of a business who would choose to support their local camogie team.
There is much to be said, in particular during these strange times, for supporting local. This must indeed include teams like ours. If you have a plan to sponsor locally in the near future please do get in touch with us to find out how working with our club can benefit your business.
